Dear Friends of Pueblo Collie/Sheltie Rescue:

We want to share some very exciting news with you! Due to the extensive area that we now serve, the Board of Directors has decided to change our name to more adequately define our mission and the scope of our organization. Effective February 14, 2012, our new name will be Rocky Mountain Collie and Sheltie Rescue. While we’ve created a new name, logo, and website, our mailing address and contact phone number remain the same, as does our amazing and caring group of volunteers and dedicated board members led by our Director, Hope Hemperly.

Since 1979, Pueblo Collie/Sheltie Rescue (PCSR) has been helping Collies and Shelties find their permanent homes. When these lucky dogs come into our rescue, they are greeted with love and kindness, and receive all necessary veterinary care prior to placement. While PCSR started in Pueblo and served southern Colorado primarily, our scope has broadened over the years, and we are serving a much larger area, because of the continual need to assist municipal shelters and other Collie and Sheltie rescue organizations.

We remain a tax-exempt non-profit, volunteer-operated organization. Over the years, we have helped thousands of Collies and Shelties find their “fur-ever” homes. An average of 150 dogs a year come into our program, and we will continue to be here as long as there is a need.

Please add our new website to your favorites so you can stay up to date.

If you would like more information about our name change or our organization please contact our Director Hope Hemperly at 719-547-4008 or our Board President Kathy Downey at 605-787-5330.

Sincerely,
The Board of Directors

Kathy Downey, President
David Ordway, Vice President
Judith Hughes, Secretary
Carol Callahan, Treasurer
