ADOPTION PENDING

Scotty (as in Beam me up!) is one of the quieter and calmer of the Collie pups.  He is 24# now with the potential of 65# or so.  He loves to be held and cuddled and fell asleep on Pat's lap while we were drying him yesterday after his bath.

Scotty has received all the appropriate puppy vaccines and is microchipped with a Home Again chip.  He seems to be getting the idea of pottying on the piddle pads which is a terrific skill at his age.  Although he will come with his AKC registerable paperwork, he WILL be neutered by RMCSR when he is old enough.  He will be old enough for his first Rabies vaccine when he is four months old.

Puppies will only be available to families where at least one of the adult humans is home most of the time.  These are very social little beings and need lots of touch and cuddling and affection.  A gentle adult dog (especially a Collie!) would show Scotty the details of being the best dog in the whole, wide world.  Obviously, a secure fenced yard is imperative.  And only the kindest humans need apply.

Please begin the process for adoption by reading our Adoption Policies and, if we sound like the right group for you, fill out our online Adoption Application. From there, our receipt of your completed application will be confirmed by email. You then will receive a follow-up phone call if we feel you are a good potential applicant for the dog. Lots of good conversation with the foster family, a reference from your veterinarian, and a home visit round out the screening process. We take dog adoption very seriously.  Please put a lot of thought into why you want to adopt a dog, and help us make a good match for your family. We appreciate your taking the time to visit with us. We will look forward to hearing from you as well.
