Maverick is a big bouncy puppy., a sable-headed white rough coated Collie.  He loves other Collies although he does play rough and would need another large breed dog to help set boundaries.  He runs like the wind, snags a toy on the fly, tosses it in the air and goes "tadah!".  We were told that Mav was fearful of men but he has not shown that here.  He has interacted well with men, women and a couple of older kids.  He would be too over the top for toddlers.  (He certainly would not mean to hurt them but the kids might look like bowling pins.)

Mav needs some basic training.  A level 1 group obedience class would be the best way to start.  He is bright and just needs some direction.  Since we all seem to be hanging around the house for the duration of this pandemic, it is a great time to bond with a new canine family member.

He is neutered (as of today) and vaccinated appropriately and microchipped with a Home Again chip.  Mavi lived at 8500 feet on the western slope of Colorado and had a sunburned nose as you can see.  My new groomer Kyle and I brushed and brushed and bathed and fluffed and dried and brushed some more.  And Maverick gleams in the sunlight like a white rough Collie should.
