A completed application is our first step toward all adoptions.  You will find it on our website at www.colliesheltierescue.org.  Without that information, we have no place to start a conversation.

Chai (as in tea) is a spayed female, 8-month-old rough Collie puppy that is making up for her lack of early socialization.  She is learning about gentle hands and lots of cuddling.  Her foster doggie friends are teaching her about proper dog to dog manners and how to be a part of "a pack."  She loves to play!  

Chai is healthy and robust and ready to become your next best friend.  But she will need some time to warm up to her new humans.  She enjoys the attention of adults but young children would be too much for her.  She knows some basic commands but would definitely benefit from a group puppy class.  This is a pup that will be worth the time and effort you put in, I guarantee it.

So, if you have Collie experience, another young dog for Chai to play with, patience and positive energy and are willing to work with a young dog to help her be all the dog she can be....send us an application.  We can't wait to meet you.

Please begin the process for adoption by reading our Adoption Policies and, if we sound like the right group for you, fill out our online Adoption Application. From there, our receipt of your completed application will be confirmed by email. You then will receive a follow-up phone call if we feel you are a good potential applicant for the dog. Lots of good conversation with the foster family, a reference from your veterinarian, and a home visit round out the screening process. We take dog adoption very seriously.  Please put a lot of thought into why you want to adopt a dog, and help us make a good match for your family. We appreciate your taking the time to visit with us.
