A COMPLETED APPLICATION IS OUR FIRST STEP TOWARD ANY PLACEMENT.  YOU WILL FIND THE ONLINE APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE AT www.colliesheltierescue.org.  AN INQUIRY FROM PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET IS NOT THE SAME THING.  WITHOUT YOUR DETAILED INFORMATION, WE HAVE NO BASIS FOR A CONVERSATION.

Clover is a female tri-headed white rough Collie.  She is only 11 months old and weighs 56#.  It is likely she will grow to be around 68# when she matures at around 18 months.  Her chest will drop and her glorious white fur will grow even longer and more luxurious.  As it is now, in the sunlight, her fur looks like it is spun from fairy dust.  Clover is a gentle girl and is learning what it means to be a person's loving companion.  Today is the 5th day here in foster care and she has made great strides in "snuggling and cuddling 101."

Clover is up-to-date on vaccines and has a negative heartworm test which is a very big deal coming from rural Missouri.  Her pre-anesthetic bloodwork is spot-on and she is ready to be spayed as soon as we can schedule it.  We don't anticipate any problems with her spay and she will be ready to go to her forever home almost immediately.  If we need to schedule her spay with her newly adopted family's veterinarian, that is do-able.  She is also already microchipped.

Please go to our website and read about Rocky Mountain Collie and Sheltie Rescue and the requirements for adoption.  If you don't meet these requirements, please don't send us an application.  We hate to disappoint people but we will always put the needs of the dogs ahead of anything else.  We love our dogs!  And we think you will love them too.

Please begin the process for adoption by reading our Adoption Policies and, if we sound like the right group for you, fill out our online Adoption Application. From there, our receipt of your completed application will be confirmed by email. You then will receive a follow-up phone call if we feel you are a good potential applicant for the dog. Lots of good conversation with the foster family, a reference from your veterinarian, and a home visit round out the screening process. We take dog adoption very seriously.  Please put a lot of thought into why you want to adopt a dog, and help us make a good match for your family. We appreciate your taking the time to visit with us. We will look forward to hearing from you as well.
