Foxter is one half of a Collie team.  His best friend Snickers is the other half of the team.  WE WILL NOT CONSIDER SEPARATING THE TWO COLLIES SO PLEASE DON'T ASK FOR ONLY ONE OF THEM.

Foxter is an adolescent neutered male rough coated Collie.  It is evident that he has recessive breeding in his background.  Both of his eyes are partially baby blue.  He is a happy little fellow with a love of all humans, cats and dogs.  In the reception area of Hilltop Pet Clinic, he made the rounds, stopping to be introduced to each person.  The whole staff popped into the exam room one at a time to meet the two boys who made such a sensation.  And each human got his full attention.

Foxter is heartworm negative and has normal blood chemistries and CBC.  He has all of the required vaccinations and has been microchipped with a Home Again microchip.  He is mostly housebroken although he may lift his leg briefly if no one is looking.  He fancies himself a lapdog although he does not fit in your lap all at one time.  But it never hurts to try!  LOL

This little fellow is bonded to his housemate, Snickers.  When his beloved owner died, the two pups clung to each other for comfort.  We have pledged our very best to the family.  A fabulous lifetime home with limitless love.  And we have made that same promise to "the boys."

Please complete our online application on our website at www.colliesheltierescue.org.  That is the first step and until we have received that, you cannot be considered for the Collies.

Please begin the process for adoption by reading our Adoption Policies and, if we sound like the right group for you, fill out our online Adoption Application. From there, our receipt of your completed application will be confirmed by email. You then will receive a follow-up phone call if we feel you are a good potential applicant for the dog. Lots of good conversation with the foster family, a reference from your veterinarian, and a home visit round out the screening process. We take dog adoption very seriously.  Please put a lot of thought into why you want to adopt a dog, and help us make a good match for your family. We appreciate your taking the time to visit with us. We will look forward to hearing from you as well.
