Fraser is a captivating little Collie pup.  He is approximately four months old, already neutered (in a shelter) and up to date on vaccines and microchipped.  He loves other dogs and all human beings.  He would be happiest in a home with another playful dog that is gentle and silly like he is.  Shirley, his foster mom, describes him as "playful, affectionate, curious, energetic, outgoing, friendly and capable of settling down for a cuddle and being mellow."  Doesn't that sound like the quintessential Collie puppy?

We will begin to accept applications for Fraser now.  But his foster mom is a tough cookie and will help to screen potential adopters.  She wants a family that will treasure Fraser like the precious little man he is and will keep him stimulated and active for all his days.  He would love to have kids of his own if they are well-mannered children.  He would probably enjoy agility training once he has completed some obedience work.  Fraser has fabulous potential and needs to have the humans that will help him to reach that full potential.  He would hate to be stuck in a backyard by himself day in and day out.  We will not let that happen.

A completed application is our first step toward any adoption.  You will find it on our website at www.colliesheltierescue.org.  Without that completed form, it is impossible for us to give out information on little Fraser.  It would be wasting our time and yours.  Thanks for understanding and keeping an eye out for a dog that needs you.

Please begin the process for adoption by reading our Adoption Policies and, if we sound like the right group for you, fill out our online Adoption Application. From there, our receipt of your completed application will be confirmed by email. You then will receive a follow-up phone call if we feel you are a good potential applicant for the dog. Lots of good conversation with the foster family, a reference from your veterinarian, and a home visit round out the screening process. We take dog adoption very seriously.  Please put a lot of thought into why you want to adopt a dog, and help us make a good match for your family. We appreciate your taking the time to visit with us. We will look forward to hearing from you as well.
