I KNOW THAT IS A LOT BUT WE SCREEN CAREFULLY FOR THE SAKE OF THE DOGS. THEY DESERVE IT! This lovely girl is Scarlett, a four-year-old spayed female tri-headed white rough Collie. (That is a mouthful!) Her white silky fur blows gently with a breeze and her sincere brown eyes watch you wherever you go. She came to us as an owner relinquishment from the family of a woman who died unexpectedly in Kansas. She enjoys the company of other dogs, as well as cats. She has gone from her beloved owner to being locked outside, taken by car to a foster home in Wichita and moved to Colorado to another foster home. Poor kid! Dogs are such creatures of routine and her routine was totally disrupted and confused. But Scarlett will make herself at home shortly with lots of handling and cuddling. That is the basic nature of our remarkable Collie dogs. To truly enjoy her life, Scarlett needs the company of at least one other companionable dog. Another Collie would be just heavenly. She really enjoys a game of rough and tumble and likes to have company to go outside and go potty, as well. Her best human friends seem to be women but her foster dad is a close second to foster mom Pat. She went for a jaunt to our local farm and ranch store, Big R, yesterday and greeted everyone that walked past. We discovered she likes kids from babies on up in age. So there could be children in her future. Because Scarlett is a busy girl, she would prefer to be a constant companion to her people. Left to her own devices, she could be looking for things to keep busy with. Scarlett has been brought up to date on vaccines. Her bloodwork is great and she is heartworm negative and microchipped. That is all the veterinary care she needs for the next year. What she needs is time to figure out what has happened in her life and how to make the best of her time forward. Previous Collie experience is a must. I know she would love you. If you would promise her forever. Let's talk.
