Quinn is a three-year-old neutered male rough Collie with a dab of something extra, like perhaps Husky.  This is a happy and healthy dog with terrific energy and training potential.  I use the word "potential" for this pup because it seems like the things he knows, he has learned on his own without much human direction.  A group obedience class or two will work wonders.  He came into a high volume shelter in Kansas covered with fleas.  Although Quinn has been treated for fleas, you can still see the evidence of the many torturous bites on his poor ears.  But the Mighty Quinn does not let anything keep him from having a fabulous day.  He is filled with sunshine.

The right family for Quinn will have lots of activity for him to join in.  He might be too rowdy for toddlers but older kids would be fine.  He enjoys other dogs and cats and has never met a man or woman he does not consider a friend.  He is learning the meaning of "housebreaking" but still has the urge to "mark."  Therefore he has been wearing a belly band in the house while his testosterone level drops from his recent neutering.

From there, our receipt of your completed application will be confirmed by email. You then will receive a follow-up phone call if we feel you are a good potential applicant for the dog. Lots of good conversation with the foster family, a reference from your veterinarian, and a home visit round out the screening process.
