A COMPLETED APPLICATION IS OUR FIRST STEP TOWARD ANY PLACEMENT. YOU WILL FIND IT ON OUR WEBSITE AT www.colliesheltierescue.org. AN INQUIRY FROM PETFINDER OR ADOPT A PET IS NOT OUR APPLICATION. PLEASE READ THE ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS INCLUDING A SECURELY FENCED YARD, A STELLAR REFERENCE FROM YOUR CURRENT VETERINARIAN AND A HOME VISIT OR DIGITAL PHOTOS OF YOUR HOME AND YARD. IF YOU SOUND LIKE A GOOD POTENTIAL MATCH FOR THIS YOUNG MAN, OUR DIRECTOR WILL CALL YOU FOR AN INTERVIEW. From Han Solo's foster mom Pam... "If you need big Sheltie-ish ears in your life, Han Solo is your guy! This is the total lovebug of the trio. He would like nothing better than to be in your arms all day long. Be ready when you pick him up, because he flips belly up on you and will nestle into the crook of your arm for all day belly rubs. Sounds just like the original Han Solo." This is one of the tiny, malnourished and dehydrated Sheltie mix puppies that were found abandoned in a field in Golden, Colorado. They were lucky enough to be brought to Foothills Animal Shelter and stabilized there for their stray period. Foothills is one of our rescue partners and they requested we take over to give the pups additional time to gain weight and strength before they would be placed for adoption. We were pleased to help. Han is an 8-week-old puppy of unknown parentage. If you squint, you could see Sheltie or some other herding breed. So, we will start there. We will be given all the necessary vaccinations and pre-anesthetic bloodwork before his neuter, all of which will be paid for by Rocky Mountain Collie and Sheltie Rescue. Application first please. No completed application, no conversation.
