Adventure boy Han Solo hasn’t met a snowfield he didn’t like! Solo loves sliding down snow banks on his belly and loves to repeat and repeat until he collapses exhausted when he’s done! He’s very smart, but likes to pause and ponder what you’ve asked of him for a moment. He’s very food motivated and will eat you out of all the treats during a training session. He does this adorable little head tilt while listening to you make ridiculous noises, which helps him be very photogenic! He loves slow, gentle lovins. Scrunching his face, rubbing his belly, laying with him and stroking his coat before bed will illicit deep moans of puppy contentment. He barks at new things like dogs, or people but loves everyone when they meet! He’s good with cats, children and horses. He’s sometimes a couch potato in that he often decides that he’s walked far enough and just plops to the ground. You ask him to get up and he lays over on his side. You try to pick him up and he turns into a glop of puppy pudding that won’t get up without bribery or food to motivate him. He CAN jump into the truck, but often prefers you lift his bottom up and in. He’s hugely energetic, yet lazy at the same time! He’s 98% house trained, but watch him, his laziness means sometimes he needs reminders to go out for potty. He gets up at 4:30am to tinkle and goes poo around 6:00am. Adventure boy Solo is looking for his next happiness filled life adventure! ❤️

Please begin the process for adoption by reading our Adoption Policies and, if we sound like the right group for you, fill out our online Adoption Application. From there, our receipt of your completed application will be confirmed by email. You then will receive a follow-up phone call if we feel you are a good potential applicant for the dog. Lots of good conversation with the foster family, a reference from your veterinarian, and a home visit round out the screening process. We take dog adoption very seriously.  Please put a lot of thought into why you want to adopt a dog, and help us make a good match for your family. We appreciate your taking the time to visit with us.
