 Tonya is an adolescent tri-headed white rough Collie.  At 14 months old, she is already 58# and we would expect her to be around 68# or so when she is full grown.  Tonya is a gentle soul, easily intimidated by other dogs or loud humans.  She responds well to gentle coo-ing and smiles and will come and snuggle with you, once you have become part of her circle of friends.  Her beautiful silky white fur glistens in the sunlight and her trusting brown eyes are watching your face to make sure of your good heart.  A lack of early socialization with dogs shows up in lots of ways as they become adults.  But love can make miracles.

Tonya is UTD on all her vaccines, is heartworm negative and microchipped and has good pre-anesthetic bloodwork already done.  All that still needs to be done medically is her spay and it will be scheduled soon.  It is also possible that we could schedule her spay with your vet of choice when she has chosen her forever family.  

Please make sure you have read about the requirements for adoption on our website.  We will need to schedule a home visit or may be willing to substitute digital photos of your yard and home.  A fenced yard is required and all members of the family need to be a part of the adoption process.  Previous Collie experience is preferred.  And Tonya would love a gentle adult pooch partner to play with.  Please help us find her the ideal forever home!

Please begin the process for adoption by reading our Adoption Policies and, if we sound like the right group for you, fill out our online Adoption Application. From there, our receipt of your completed application will be confirmed by email. You then will receive a follow-up phone call if we feel you are a good potential applicant for the dog. Lots of good conversation with the foster family, a reference from your veterinarian, and a home visit round out the screening process. We take dog adoption very seriously.  Please put a lot of thought into why you want to adopt a dog, and help us make a good match for your family. We appreciate your taking the time to visit with us.
