GOOD PHONE CONVERSATION WITH THE DIRECTOR, SECURELY FENCED YARD, FABULOUS REFERENCE FROM YOUR VETERINARIAN AND HOME VISIT OR DIGITAL PHOTOS OF YOUR HOME. Danny is a mature rough coated Collie whose beloved owner can no longer care for him. So, here is the dear boy, looking for a retirement home where he can relax for his golden years. Danny was a therapy dog earlier in his life and went to hospitals to bring love and laughter to countless folks. Senior Collies are all gentle and loving. And Danny is certainly no exception. He is a bit confused as to where his "mom" has gone. He is currently residing with one of the adult daughters but it is a more complicated environment than he is used to. Danny would prefer to have a human or two all to himself. I hope we can accommodate his wishes. He will bring his complete vet record from the time he was a puppy. As a therapy dog at Longmont United Hospital, he needed to be kept UTD on everything medical in order to be permitted to be on site. He is neutered, of course. And, although he has been on a raw food diet most of his life, he might do best on a simpler senior kibble with the addition of some yummy stuff on top. We will begin accepting applications for Danny immediately. But we are not in a hurry to find the right match. Only folks with prior Collie experience will be considered.
