I KNOW THIS SOUNDS LIKE A LOT BUT WE SCREEN CAREFULLY FOR THE SAKE OF THE DOGS. THEY DESERVE IT! This little tiny puppy is Scooby. He is a 10-week-old Lab/ Dachshund mix (maybe), weighing in at 11#. He was given away at a farm and ranch supply store in Pueblo, Colorado. And he could have ended up in a bad place. But our volunteers are continually talking to people about watching out for critters that may be in trouble and how important it is to get them safe and find where they can go to be safely placed in loving homes. Little Scooby is one such pup. We refer to them as Little Interlopers. Scooby is in a foster home here in Pueblo West, Colorado. He gets along with full-sized Collies and a couple of old Border Collie mixes. He adores men, women and children. How he feels about cats is an unknown. But I would guess that a cat that accepts him would find a good friend in Scooby. All of Scooby's vet care will be completed by Rocky Mountain Collie and Sheltie Rescue including his full series of vaccines including Rabies. He is is already microchipped with a Home Again chip and his adoption will include a lifetime database registration. When he is old enough, he will be neutered with all the bells and whistles. We do require a minimum donation of $450 that helps to cover the medical expenses. But, for now, we will begin to look for the humans who will love Scooby for his entire life. He is a funny little character. He troops around at the heels of his foster mom and feels neglected if he does not have complete access to her. The other dogs in the family see him scoot under them and watch out for the little dude. He is a well-adjusted mixed breed pup. And he will love his forever family as long as they treat him like the little treasure that he is. Let's see what the universe has in store for Scooby!
