OUR FIRST STEP TOWARD ANY PLACEMENT IS A COMPLETED APPLICATION. WITHOUT KNOWING ABOUT WHAT YOUR FAMILY CAN OFFER A DOG, WE DON'T HAVE A STARTING POINT FOR A DISCUSSION ABOUT ADOPTION. YOU WILL FIND OUR ONLINE APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE AT www.colliesheltierescue.org. Coby Cash was a much loved little puppy. But people's circumstances change and Coby is on the hunt for his forever home. He is an absolutely stunning color-headed white Sheltie weighing about 20#. He is too thin right now but he is growing into his young adult body and will probably max out around 28#. His foster family says he is smart, sweet and quite active. He loves men, women, children, other dogs and kitties, too. Coby is working hard to learn all the basics an adolescent Sheltie should know. Crate training, housebreaking, walking politely on a leash and not jumping up when excited are complex for a young dog to grasp all at one time. Coby has already mastered sit, down and shake. Brushing and general grooming are next. But with all of his matts out, it seems like a much more pleasurable experience for him. Coby is a neutered male, UTD on vaccines and microchipped with a Home Again microchip. He seems to have a sense of humor as displayed by his behavior on the first day in his foster home. He was running full speed around Lisa's backyard and took an unexpected splash into her Koi pond. He popped out, looked around to make sure no one was laughing at him and resumed his flying around the yard. Because Coby is so young, he deserves to have a young family to be with him a very long time. Please take that into account when you consider sending an application to adopt him. We have not had many Shelties recently but you never know what the next phone call will bring. I am asking the universe to send a few middle aged small cuddly Shelties to fill waiting laps. But that is not where Coby belongs.
