Roscoe is a young adult male rough Collie that has a happy spirit and a young soul.  He came to us from a crappy situation but he has not let that bother him in the least.  He adores other dogs of all ages and energy levels.  He also loves all men, women and children although he may be a bit rowdy to be with very young kids.  Think of Tigger, who bounces.  Roscoe bounces too.

Roscoe came to us with no known health history so we began with basic vaccines, heartworm test, blood chemistries and complete CBC and a Home Again microchip.  No problems at all.  He is still intact and that will be taken care of as soon as possible.  If RMCSR should find just the right match for Roscoe, we can schedule his neuter with the family's veterinarian and we will pay all the bills.   

Breed specific dog rescue exists for the benefit of those breeds. "Collie people" are the right folks to find the best homes for Collies, etc.  The perfect home for Roscoe is one with adults young enough to enjoy the antics of a funny pup and kids that are craving a lifelong bond with a very loving and intuitive breed of dog.  My first Collie raised my children.  You could have that same kind of experience with Roscoe.

As we said, completed application first.  You would be surprised how quickly we can move forward for the right family to adopt.

Please begin the process for adoption by reading our Adoption Policies and, if we sound like the right group for you, fill out our online Adoption Application. From there, our receipt of your completed application will be confirmed by email. You then will receive a follow-up phone call if we feel you are a good potential applicant for the dog. Lots of good conversation with the foster family, a reference from your veterinarian, and a home visit round out the screening process. We take dog adoption very seriously.  Please put a lot of thought into why you want to adopt a dog, and help us make a good match for your family. We appreciate your taking the time to visit with us.
